About a week ago we posted this blog about our van, Dusty. We bought it in May 2014 and it’s been in the shop 33 times now. No joke. It’s a mess and #dustysgottago. Since we last posted, we had  the heat fixed, the emergency brake deemed “not a big deal”, and our transmission looked at. The transmission has some problem with a cable that works the actual shifting of the car [sometimes specifics get lost in translation] that will cost us around $150 to fix. There was apparently some plastic thing around the cable that broke and caused the issue. So as a temporary fix the mechanic wrapped it in some plastic-y stuff. Seems legit.

While Dusty is currently running and has survived a trip to the village and back, suffice it to say we’re still definitely in need of a new car. Our goal is still to raise $6000 asap and get something more reliable. We’d like to get rid of Dusty and head out to western Ukraine to get a van that’s recently been brought in from another part of Europe. We’ve got connections to a few people who have a business in cars coming in from Germany and other countries. But we need to have the money to purchase before we can send Boyko and Sasha over to find us one. And that’s where we need your help! Please consider giving either online or by mail [checks can be mailed to us at PO Box 1148, Oakley, CA 94561]. Thank you for helping us keep moving in ministry and getting where we need to go!
