We are happy to introduce a new team member to Open Arms – Vasya is fulfilling a new position as our War Relief Coordinator. He is currently living in Sumy with his wife and has been risking his life since the beginning of the war, serving those in need. Many of the photos and updates we’ve posted have been from Vasya and the work he’s been doing as a volunteer up until now. Vasya also grew up in the orphanage and has dedicated his life to serving the Lord and others. We’ve known Vasya for years and he’s volunteered with us and with the local church for a long time. We are excited to have him on the team!
We of course know that without your donations this would not be possible. Your donations have helped us to afford supporting Vasya in this role as we continue to provide much needed support to the people of Ukraine as they fight to defend their country from Russia’s aggression. The war is far from over, and there are many needs in the Sumy area and throughout the country. Again, thank you for making it possible to help those in need!
